Home Selling Secrets by Blair: Bathroom Edition Part 2

In the first part of our two-part blog, which you can find here, we discussed the first five bathroom hacks you can do, aside from having it remodeled by a professional. Now, we’ve reached the second part, and we’re discussing the last five bathroom secrets we’d like to share with you.

Any kind of remodeling, even kitchen remodeling in Bethesda MD, won’t be of much use if you won’t be able to design it well and maximize the things you’ve put inside it. Here are five more bathroom tips you can follow to make your bathroom the ultimate space for comfort.

6.    Cleanliness is next to having your home sold.
Cleaning the very room where you spend your time cleaning yourself is a no-brainer. There are people who aren’t fond of cleaning, but this remains a very important house chore that needs to be done. Having a spotless bathroom can create a lasting impression.

7.    Organize cleaning products/tools.
Cleaning is highly encouraged, but keeping your cleaning materials inside your bathroom can be a mistake. Those materials are undeniably part of your habit – from tissue papers to bleach – but they wouldn’t help in creating that spa-like ambiance we mentioned in the first part of this two-part blog. Tidy them up inside a cabinet.

8.    Don’t discount minor updates.
Of course it’s best to have a major bathroom remodel. However, don’t forget simple upgrades like repainting your walls or installing new lights. These little things that you do can create a big difference – and your potential buyers will notice them, too.

9.    Try scented candles.
Candles are natural deodorizers, lighted or not. A word of caution though: if you opt for scented candles, choose mild ones. You can never tell if the buyer likes the specific aroma or not.

10.    Showcase luxury with towels.
Every time you check in a hotel, towels are all over the place. Some of these towels are for actual use, and some are just for aesthetics. You can use these to help you achieve that Zen spa-like ambiance.

And that’s it. We hope you were able to read both parts of our two-part blog, and that you would be able to use them. But always remember, it’s best to have your bathroom checked, repaired, or renovated before selling your home. This way, you can boost your property’s perceived value instantly.
